Erica Hagan is a MAT student at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She received her undergrad degree in English. She is currently working on her Middle Grades English graduate degree. As a first-gen college student, she is currently teaching 8th grade ELA. Erica says that First-Gen means breaking down barriers and creating new opportunities that lead to rewarding success.
