Mariana Serrano (she/they) is a first-generation, afro-Latina, queer woman who is passionate about supporting public health organizations in building their capacity to advance health equity and racial justice by redefining strategies and interventions that improve the health of marginalized populations. Mariana is currently an MPH candidate at Boston University School of Public Health, focusing on Program Management and Sex, Sexuality, and Gender Equity Advancement. Mariana aspires to be a part of the development of queer reproductive health institutes that provides inclusive health care and access to people of color nationwide.
