About this speaker

Matt Newlin, Ed.D. is a higher education consultant, speaker, and faculty member. He has spent over 15 years in higher education advocating for postsecondary equity and access for low-income and first-generation students. As a consultant, Matt has worked with NASPA's Center for First-generation Student Success, Harvard's National Center for Rural Education Networks, and U-Thrive Education Services. He has also established equity-centered initiatives at Washington University in St. Louis and College Advising Corps. Matt is regularly invited to speak at national and regional conferences and symposia as an expert on higher education equity. He earned his Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University.
